My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms were spacious and clean, although some updating is needed, especially the green carpet. The restaurant was decent, nothing special but fairly clean. The staff was friendly and especially accommodating to our group and our golden retriever. The location was wonderful, right on the shore of Lake Superior, providing a beautiful setting to watch sunsets and enjoy the amenities in the north woods.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room's view of Lake Superior was fantastic, but the pool right under my window was a bit noisy. The rooms were clean, but the indoor pool view was not ideal. The service was generally great, though there was a distracting gum-chewer at checkout. The location was perfect for our trip with a beautiful lake view and proximity to Porcupine Mountain State Park. The dining options were decent with a nice selection, and the facilities were satisfactory.
Wow, this hotel really impressed me! From the breathtaking Lake Superior view in my room to the warm and welcoming staff, it truly exceeded my expectations. The onsite bar and restaurant were fantastic, and the overall cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch.
